Remove Extra Spaces
Paste text to remove repeated spaces and tabs, trim each line, delete blank lines or join everything into one paragraph.
Remove Extra Spaces
Clean up pasted text: collapse repeated spaces, trim lines and remove blank lines.
Type or paste text to clean it.
Your text is processed in your browser and is not uploaded.
How it works
- Type or paste text. The cleaned version appears in the output box as you type.
- Choose which cleanups to apply: collapse repeated spaces and tabs, trim each line, remove blank lines, or join lines into one paragraph.
- Copy the result with the Copy button, or Reset to return the options to their defaults.
Counting rules
- Spaces include tabs and non-breaking spaces; every run of them becomes a single space.
- Cleanups run in order: collapse, trim, remove blank lines, then join.
- A trailing line break at the end of the text is dropped.
- “Removed” counts the characters taken out, with a line break counting as one character.
- Your text is processed in your browser and is not uploaded.
Worked example: “a b” followed by two tabs and “c” becomes “a b c”, removing 3 characters.
